Where can I obtain a Certificate of Inheritance?
It can be obtained by submitting an application to a notary public. With the population registration certificate and Turkish Republic identity card provided to the notary, a single heir can apply for and receive the document. However, if there are heirs living abroad or who are foreign nationals, or if any dispute has arisen, it will be necessary to file a lawsuit in the Magistrates' Court to obtain the document.

Article 598– Başvurusu üzerine yasal mirasçı oldukları belirlenenlere, sulh mahkemesince veya noterlikçe a document showing heir status Unless an objection is raised by the heirs or other legatees within one month of being notified of the testamentary disposition concerning the appointment of an heir or bequest, the person in whose favor the disposition was made shall be issued a document by the magistrate's court indicating that they are the appointed heir or legatee.
